I work away for hours and think yep this is looking great, so I wip out the trusty camera and take a close up and all is revealed in it's disapointing closeupedness.
How can something look so good and so bad at the same time? Then starts the downward spiral thinking syndrome... maybe the zimmerit will fix it, then after the zim maybe a coat of paint and after the paint maybe some weathering, then finally maybe the next one will be better.
I wonder if anyone else suffers from the perfectionistic downward spiral thinking syndrome or maybe it's not too bad after all?
But then what is the aim of this project/hobby in the first place?

Another angle.

All the surface details that will be replaced with PE have already been scraped off in this shot.

the work bench unusually tidy.
